Job Description

BioLife plasma centres are part of the Takeda biopharmaceutical company. Our business is the collection and freezing of blood plasma from donors in Hungary for the production of pharmaceuticals.

We’re looking for a full time Operational Excellence Partner for the plasmapheresis centers in Hungary.

The role oversees activities occurring across the Hungarian Plasma Center network value stream to ensure alignment to strategic priorities and engagement from leadership and front line staff.

Main tasks:

  • Support and deploy continuous improvement initiatives and the Lean Management System model throughout the Hungarian Plasma Center network (10 centers)

  • Serve as the central source for Operational Excellence to the Plasma Center Network in HU

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization in the plasma centers in compliance with GMP regulations

  • Drive culture change to embed continuous improvement into daily work and create a learning organization

  • Manage the training and implementation of Lean Management System (LMS) elements (Problem Solving with DMAIC, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Systems, Tiered Accountability, etc.), including preparation of training material in Hungarian and providing training and coaching for the Hungarian BioLife Operations and Quality team

  • Support identification of improvement opportunities, facilitate improvement workshops and capture business results

  • Collaborate with Quality and Center Managers on different projects

  • Manage the implementation of strategic initiatives in the BioLife HU centers

  • Point of contact between Country Head, Quality Manager and other stakeholders as well as trusted advisor to the Operational Excellence Europe

Requirements:

  • University or college degree (Completed education with a business orientation)

  • Excellent Hungarian and English skills required, further languages beneficial

  • Experience in consultation and facilitation (Problem-solving, Trainings, Workshops)

  • Experience (preferably) in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven ability to collaborate and establish trust as well as negotiate competing priorities

  • Experience in Lean Management System deployment, Lean and/or Six Sigma tools

  • Appreciative, empathetic, and motivating team player

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office, used to work with databases; PowerBI)

  • Long-term willingness to travel between the centers in Hungary and to the BioLife Head Office in Vienna, Austria

Competencies:

  • Analytical thinking/ problem solving skills/Data Analysis (PowerBI) Skills

  • Ability to work independently to develop, manage and implement project plans

  • Ability to navigate sensitive and difficult situations

  • Ability to critically think and apply lean principles
