Job Description
About the role:
As the Environmental, Health and Safety, Associate Director, you will establish and foster strategic partnerships across all site teams to grow EH&S programs, including culture change, ISO management systems, compliance programs, corporate initiatives, and others to foster a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment. You will ensure ISO 14001 and 45001 certification is maintained for the site and provides EHS support to several departments or areas of the facility. You will report into the Site Head.
How you will contribute:
- Lead the planning and execution of environmental, health and safety programs and strategies with an emphasis on Core and Technical Safety programs according to legal, regulatory, corporate requirements and industry best practice
- Ensure the Site maintains certification with ISO 14001 and 45001
- Lead efforts to improve assigned EH&S programs, ensuring they are compliant
- Accountable for site Emergency Response Team and associated programs, develop skillset and ensure members are adequately trained and resourced
- Lead, and plan EH&S walks, audits, and inspections
- Provide leadership and expertise, participate in incident investigations, develop, and support corrective and preventive actions, incident response
- Lead and direct a team of EHS associates and other professional support team members
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Expert in occupational hygiene, providing leadership and pioneering new methods for managing workplace risks
- Certified Safety Professional with strategic insights into safety practices
- Proficient in auditing and recognized as a subject matter expert in complex auditing practices
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, leading initiatives and coaching others in industrial hygiene
- Expertise in handling hazardous materials and guiding safety management practices
- Experience with environmental science and leading strategic environmental initiatives
- Experience with environmental law, driving policy improvements and coaching others
- Lead risk analysis efforts and develop innovative mitigation strategies
- Expert in regulatory compliance, driving strategic initiatives and compliance practices
- Specialized in stormwater management, providing strategic advice and coaching
- Ability to direct teams and influencing organizational safety culture
- Proficient in change management, leading organizational transitions in safety practices

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
