Job Description

About the role:

You will partner with the IBD Strategy and Brand Marketing team within the IBD Franchise on regional thought leader engagement, overseeing various components and managing executional support for educational P2P efforts and the development of key regional marketing initiatives including regional conference presence and sponsorships.

Advance the commercial potential of Entyvio by creating targeted meaningful customer experiences, helping to inspire education and therapeutic consideration along with educational efforts for HCP and Patient on addressing unmet needs of the IBD disease state and treatment management journey.

Amplify core brand strategies through the development and implementation of marketing initiatives facilitating targeted promotion within priority segments, strengthening messaging, and enhancing Takeda's relationships with customers and accounts via partnership with field representations (Key Accounts, Clinical Sales, Medical, etc.)

Extend the impact of IBD Leadership efforts to drive disease state initiatives via partnership opportunities with 3rd parties

Ensure Takeda is a leader and trusted partner across the rapidly evolving IBD landscape

You will report to Associate Director, Regional Marketing Lead

How you will contribute:

Regional Marketing and Education: Identify key local and regional needs of customers, and develop materials to further educate appropriately by effectively and compliantly delivering high-quality work

  • Continually apply knowledge and evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing tactics, making strategic recommendations to leadership on brand optimization
  • Lead partnerships with field leadership in corresponding geography to optimize and tailor pull-through of marketing strategies including P2P education support Enable peer-to-peer education by overseeing speaker programs execution, including speaker selection, supporting speaker training and speaker deck content development in collaboration with brand/disease state marketing.
  • Responsible for gathering local insights – understanding key geographical market drivers, HCP influence points, competitive landscape, provider dynamics and competitive intelligence. Subsequently able to provide in-depth insights based on the brand's key business questions to provide input on marketing strategy, resource optimization and tactical development that drives brand performance.
  • Oversee the direction and deliverables of multiple external vendors ensuring internal stakeholder alignment across agency partners, PRT, medical affairs, compliance and IT.

Thought Leader Engagement: Identify, build and strengthen commercial relationships with external experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associates within geography.

  • Generate insights from healthcare providers (HCPs) that provide real-time feedback to commercial team for development of brand strategies, tactics, Takeda-approved resources and better inform our business decisions.
  • Assist in coordination of advisory boards and consultant engagements, managing content, logistics, and post-event insights to inform brand strategy and tactical planning.
  • Collect and synthesize actionable insights from KOLs and HCPs on disease state trends, treatment patterns, competitive intelligence, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate on regional engagement plans for external experts and ensure consistent tactical execution to drive key marketing engagement.
  • Identify, cultivate, and support relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), emerging experts, and relevant associations to advance education and insight generation.

Cross-functional and Agency Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (marketing, medical affairs, legal, compliance, regulatory, and IT) to ensure all professional engagement activities are compliant and strategically aligned.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to ensure high-quality deliverables, project alignment, and execution across key initiatives.

Congress Strategy & Execution

  • Support the strategy, planning, and execution of national and regional congresses to advance the IBD brand and disease state awareness, including Entyvio.
  • Assist in the training of the field teams for national congresses.
  • Manage end-to-end congress deliverables such as booth design, branded collateral, product theaters, sponsorship activations, and customer engagement logistics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and agencies to develop and execute creative briefs, ensuring consistent brand messaging and impactful presence.
  • Provide on-site support and troubleshooting during live events and contribute to post-event analysis and wrap-up..
  • Identify, process and track sponsorship opportunities that align with brand objectives and compliance standards.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required: MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 7 years customer facing pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience (field sales, product marketing, medical or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area) is required
  • 2 or more years work experience in one or more of the following is required: clinical liaison, thought leader management, marketing or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area with experience in creating marketing strategies, plans, and tactics
  • Clinical experience in IBD, specialty Biologics and/or rare disease strongly preferred
  • Thought leader or demonstrated key opinion leader (KOL) leadership experience a plus
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of success
  • Proven track record of consistent achievement or exceeding expectations in assigned responsibilities, goals, objectives and any other relevant metrics, especially involving cross functional matrix teams (i.e., internal partners)
  • Previous experience in multiple commercial functions beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience customizing and executing timely action plans across various initiatives
  • Proficient in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and similar applications
  • Demonstrate leadership and strategic agility
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and/or lead cross functional teams
  • Ability to present ideas effectively by consolidating and customizing information
  • Outstanding influence and persuasive aptitude as demonstrated in previous work experiences
  • Strong organizational, analytic and time management planning skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to execute against strategic/tactical plans under tight timelines

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, inclusive of conferences on weekends, overnight programs as well as attendance at key internal meetings
  • Individual must reside within territory boundaries given the extensive travel arrangements of this role. The position is covering the central region. Below are the states that make up this region: Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 - $215,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
