The Data Management Control Tower Lead is responsible for focusing on and defining the overall data management (including advanced analytics and GenAI industrialization), manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data across diverse platforms. The role is pivotal in ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance while aligning data processes with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data lifecycle management, proactive monitoring practices, and a proven track record in leading cross-functional data governance and analytics teams.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Control Tower Operations:

• Establish and oversee a centralized Data Management Control Tower to monitor data flows, systems, and processes for optimal reliability and performance.
• Design and implement robust end-to-end monitoring frameworks for Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence (BI), and ETL workflows.

Incident Management:

• Lead incident triaging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve data issues promptly.
• Develop and execute action plans to prevent recurring data anomalies or outages.

Data Governance:

• Drive the adoption of federated governance practices, ensuring compliant and efficient access management.
• Manage and maintain an enterprise-level Data Catalog and Data Lineage system for transparency and traceability.

Performance and Scalability:

• Implement advanced performance observability techniques to ensure optimal operation of data platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage and scale infrastructure resources to meet business demands and ensure cost-efficiency.

Self-Guided Data Enablement:

• Develop and promote self-service data onboarding tools and practices to empower business teams and improve operational efficiency.
• Foster a culture of self-guided data management, reducing dependency on central data teams.

Cost & Consumption Management:

• Monitor and optimize data platform costs and resource consumption to align with financial objectives.
• Provide insights into data usage patterns to improve allocation and resource planning.

Key Qualifications:

• 7+ years in data management roles, with 3+ years in leadership positions.
• Expertise in implementing and managing Databricks, Informatica, and Monte Carlo for observability and governance.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Informatica, and Airflow/Tidal for workflow orchestration and scalable data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with ETL workflows, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence tools.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing Data Catalogs, Lineage tools, and performance monitoring solutions.
• Deep knowledge of federated governance models and secure access management.
• Expertise in data lifecycle management, monitoring frameworks, and incident management processes.
• Familiarity with cost and consumption optimization strategies for cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Informatica, Databricks, or other enterprise-grade data management tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially for scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Background in building self-service data tools and facilitating their adoption across teams.
