JOB LOCATION: Bannockburn, IL
POSITION: Systems Manager
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Systems Manager with the following duties: Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture; design, develop, and improve the framework to collect, process, store, and visualize data; deploy application codes and analytical models using Takeda’s standard DevSecOps approach and evolve existing data solutions into innovative product; identify, design, and implement process improvements to optimize data delivery and system scalability, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the data for analytics and operational use; manage the Analytics DataSecOps framework that includes code deployment using CI/CD and AWS infrastructure as code, data monitoring, and reconciliation supporting a wide variety of data sources using AWS native technologies; build analytics tools and solutions to provide data democratization and actionable insights into donor experience, operational efficiency, and performance KPIs; collaborate with stakeholders to assist with technical issues and restore service quickly for business users; work with security and data privacy offices to ensure data is secure and protected, meeting local regulations and guideline; refine preliminary designs for new or changed functionalities and perform low-level functional analysis, developing Use Cases, Information Models, Data Flows, and Sequence Diagrams; collaborate with data scientists, business SMEs, and data analysts to expand and optimize the data and data pipeline architecture to support multiple functions within PD; build and evolve processes to support digital transformation, meta data management, and data structures; participate in design reviews with development teams, ensuring all relevant best practices, controls, and operational processes are built into delivered designs; interact with Enterprise Architecture, PDT Engineering, Cloud CoE, Enterprise Data, DevSecOps, network, security, and infrastructure teams, ensuring solutions are properly aligned, executed, and deployed to meet business SLAs and DR expectations with minimal service interruption; rigorously test features and implement product releases to ensure flawless functionality and performance. Up to 50% remote work allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Build a big data engineering framework, using Opensource platforms like Spark& Hadoop; Work on tools, including SQL and AWS public cloud-services; Utilize Agile Software Development methodologies; Utilize Data Analytics on complex data structures and using BI tools.
Full time. $150,500 - $196,000 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
