Job Description

Abut the role:

Lead the Business Excellence function at Takeda’s Vienna manufacturing site, ensuring operational efficiency and performance optimization. Drive transformation initiatives, portfolio management, and deployment of continuous improvement processes. Collaborate across Takeda’s network to standardize and adopt best practices.

How you will contribute:

  • Leadership:
    • Lead the Business Excellence Team for the Vienna site, encompassing Operational Excellence (OE), Project Management Office (PMO), Training and Learning systems, and Programs-Transformation & Strategy (PTS).
    • Drive performance, efficiency, and effectiveness within team operations.
    • Develop and manage site-wide programs and strategies with focus on efficiency improvements and operational performance.
  • Transformation:
    • Manage project and program portfolios of the site while fostering continuous improvement initiatives such as AOS, transformation, and efficiency programs.
    • Develop and administrate training and learning systems to align with site requirements and operational goals.
  • Strategic Collaboration:
    • Partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for the development of site strategy and execution.
    • Collaborate with the global Takeda network to identify, adopt, and share best practices in operational excellence.
  • Organizational Impact:
    • Champion change initiatives to enhance business agility and cultural transformation.
    • Foster innovation, encourage ownership, and cultivate a high-performing organization.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Proven experience in a pharmaceutical or process industry, with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and/or quality operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with emphasis on operational excellence and change management.
  • Fluent in German, and proficiency in English and exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong leadership attributes with the ability to drive change, motivate teams, and forge alignment across stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies at the organizational level.

Preferred:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of training and learning systems.
  • Entrepreneurship and emotional intelligence to navigate a large organization.
  • Significant experience in program and project management.

  • A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 5.538,85 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary is higher and depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
