Job Description

Since 1972, Takeda has proudly operated two sites in Italy—Rieti and Pisa—focused on producing plasma-derived drugs for patients with rare and complex diseases. These facilities specialize in therapies derived from immunoglobulins, albumin, and coagulation factors. As trusted partners of the National Health System, we transform plasma into life-saving medications under the “National Self-Sufficiency of Blood and its Products” program. Our high-quality drugs serve patients worldwide, with a strong presence in Europe, America, and Asia.

You will oversee financial planning, accounting, tax, treasury, compliance, and related functions, ensuring alignment with Takeda’s goals. Responsible for the Balance Sheet and P&L/Core Earnings, you will lead governance efforts, optimize operations, and deliver innovative solutions to support site strategy and development.

How You Will Contribute

  • Control and analyze all relevant business transactions, managing the Balance Sheet and P&L/Core Earnings.

  • Lead financial planning processes, including budgets, forecasts, mid-range plans, and monthly reviews.

  • Build and manage internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, GMS policies, and statutory requirements.

  • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, stakeholders, and internal teams (tax audits, transfer pricing, insurance).

  • Support the Tax Planning Team in restructuring activities and transfer pricing processes, including compliance assessments and statutory product P&L.

  • Offer strategic financial direction aligned with Takeda’s objectives and site strategies.

  • Develop robust business networks across Switzerland, providing tax and accounting support to internal departments like Tax, Treasury, Legal, Supply Chain, and HR.

  • Set performance guidelines and financial targets for budgets and long-term plans, supporting decision-making with robust analysis tools.

  • Champion continuous improvement to optimize financial systems and deliver impactful, accurate financial insights.

What You Bring to Takeda

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Post-graduate qualifications such as an MBA or MSc preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 years in leadership roles within international and medium-to-large-sized companies.

  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Chemical industry is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
