About the placement

Based in our UK Head Offices in Paddington, Central London, with some flexibility around remote work, (there is a minimum requirement of 8 days in the office per month). This placement will be based within our Regulatory Affairs team, aligned to Medical Affairs, where, from day one, you will play an important and integral role in our organisation

For our 2026 Industrial Placement Program starting in July 2026, we have 1 internship available in Regulatory Affairs.

Within Regulatory Affairs you will have the opportunity to:
- Gain experience in a broad range of regulatory activities, whilst providing technical and administrative support to the Regulatory Affairs team.
- Learn about the development lifecycle for medicinal products, from application to approval and work across all therapy areas in the Takeda portfolio.
- In collaboration with an expert team, you will be involved in the maintenance of existing and new medicinal marketing authorisations for products in the UK and Ireland.
- Take responsibility for your own projects, in support of Takeda’s commercial activities and strategies.
- Support with the preparation, compilation, submission and approval of a wide range of regulatory applications for a variety of products licensed via the health authorities.
- Learn about the regulatory environment in the EU and the UK, and industry challenges post-Brexit. Help us shape the future operating model for Regulatory Affairs at Takeda.
- Interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including the regulatory authorities in the UK and Ireland.
- Participate in industry group meetings with other pharmaceutical companies.
- Take an active role in our early careers community IGNITE and other Takeda Reference groups aligned to our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion values
What we’re looking for
You are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree and are looking to complete a 12-month placement as part of your ongoing studies, returning to your course at the end of the placement. Our role would suit a candidate who is currently enrolled in a scientific/STEM degree, who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as a team player and who is interested in developing a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Who can apply and How:
As an undergraduate applicant you will looking to commence your year in industry from summer 2026 as part of your degree studies. Please apply on-line with a CV and Covering letter (in a single file) stating your reasons for applying and how you meet our skills and attributes criteria.
To identify candidates, you may go through the following stages, depending on the results of each stage you may be invited to further stages: CV & Cover Letter screening, Online Aptitude Testing, Video interview with Talent Team, Online Personality Questionnaire and finally a face-to-face or virtual assessment centre. During the assessment centre, candidates will have the opportunity to meet with a current intern. By applying you agree to your contact details being shared with third parties who assist Takeda in the identification of suitable candidates for roles.
Assessment Centres are expected to be held in January - February 2026 and successful candidates will start in July 2026.
