Job Description
About the role:
The Business Excellence Lead for the US External Operation team will drive business process optimization through partnership with the operation and strong delivery on improvements. Business process optimization will be quantifiable and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. You will work across business lines both internally and externally. You will demonstrate strong Takeda leadership behaviors and collaboration as a member of the US External Operational leadership team. You will report into the Head, External Ops Regional US.
How you will contribute:
Effectively process map key business processes to identify roles & responsibilities, hand-
offs, key system and human capability and capacity
Effective delivery will also include identification of key improvement opportunities, quantifiable with respect to value, quality or overall efficiency.
Apply Takeda’s Agile (operational excellence) philosophy and toolset to the Regional
External Supply organization to deliver a measurable improvement in the department’s
KPI’s
Deliver the AGILE roadmap through a series of waves, developing local
capabilities through each deployment including endorsed documentation and
prioritization of all initiatives by the External Supply Leadership team
Establish effective business processes related to US external operations launch products
Collaborate with key functions across the business and forge key relationships to allow for synergy and drive “one team mindset” across the broader organization
As a member of the US External Operations leadership team, understand current business priorities, contribute to establishing key strategic initiatives and setting related plans to deliver
With the agreement of the regional Head of External Supply, either lead or be a member
of specific Agile projects by facilitating workshops and demonstrating the use of tools or
by leading teams through the completion of missions/workshops
Be a key contributor to optimizing our team’s Ways of Working
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, in relevant business or scientific field
Minimum of three years in Business or Operational Excellence role in the pharmaceutical
industry
At least four years of experience in a Quality, Supply Chain or Operations environment required, three years of experience in bio/pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or life sciences
industry
Thorough knowledge of operational excellence principles (Lean, Agile Operating System,
Six Sigma etc.), Belt certification preferred.

USA - MA - Hayden - 45-55U.S. Base Salary Range:
$149,100.00 - $234,300.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
