About the role:

Join us as Learning Site Lead for the Lessines site. Reporting to the Head of Business Excellence, you will have a key responsibility in deploying a learning strategy answering the needs of local populations while ensuring alignment to Global Operation Unit guidelines.

The Lessines manufacturing site plays a vital role in the production of Takeda’s plasma-based therapies. With over 75 years of pioneering legacy, Takeda is a global leader in rare diseases and ranks in the top three for plasma-derived products. The Lessines site, operational for over 50 years, specializes in immunoglobulin (IG) production for treating rare and complex chronic diseases. It focuses on purification, filling, and packaging capabilities and serves as a packaging center for blood disorder treatments. Proudly, the site supplies more than 80 countries worldwide and employs 1,200 professionals from 23 nationalities.

How you will contribute:

You will establish and maintain a comprehensive site learning roadmap, managing platforms and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing standards. Supported by a team of seven experts, you focus on the design and implementation of training programs, while assessing training & learning needs, and collaborating with stakeholders to continuously improve and align training with operational goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Learning System Management: Develop a robust learning roadmap for GxP and non-GxP training, align with GMS/GQ strategy, manage global training SOPs, and ensure compliance and effectiveness in the learning system.

  • Training Program Design & Implementation: Assess training needs, create comprehensive learning roadmaps, implement learning strategies per GMS/GQ, manage curricula, and oversee training budgets and partners.

  • Training Needs Assessment & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate for system enhancements, evaluate and improve training, innovate processes, adopt risk-based approaches, and represent learning programs during audits.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety Training: ensure training programs meet standards, manage training performance indicators, and develop site-specific training aligned with cGMP, OSHA, and Health & Safety requirements.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Oversee the LMS in collaboration with the LMS Lead for training tracking, compliance, and reporting, and provide progress updates to leadership.

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Align training with operational goals, foster relationships with external providers, and act as the contact for training-related inquiries.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor in Science, Life-science or Engineering discipline recommended.
  • Master’s degree or certification in Learning, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • 10 years Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance required.
  • Experience in instructional design and LMS management.
  • Subject matter expert on Learning Systems/Process development and implementation, including performance consulting, coaching, program design and learning methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and delivering engaging training programs in both classroom and virtual environments.
  • Experience in assessing training needs and creating tailored learning solutions that improve individual and organizational performance.
  • Experience in training effectiveness evaluation and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to predict future ready capability needs.
  • Proficient in LMS software and training technologies.
  • Fluency in English and French.
