Job Description
Position Overview:
The GTM Digital Launch Excellence Lead within Takeda is a pivotal role in driving alignment, readiness, and standardization of Global Digital Data & Technology (GDD&T) launch capabilities. By anchoring digital strategies, capabilities, and delivery to Takeda’s launch standards, the role empowers global and local teams to achieve seamless, high-quality, and on-time product launches.
This role will require deep expertise in digital product/platform capability offerings in a Pharmaceutical Commercial space, project coordination, and new medicine launch readiness. Acting as the primary liaison for launch strategies between GDD&T teams and business units (BUs), you will ensure cross-functional alignment and integration while fostering proactive collaboration to drive timely milestone delivery and sustain launch excellence.
Success in this position demands a blend of strong organizational leadership and stakeholder management. You will work across multiple functions—partnering with product/platform owners, BUs, and local teams—to track performance, improve readiness, and align program milestones. With close collaboration and effective communication, this role will be instrumental in shaping how Takeda achieves global digital launch success for transformative treatments worldwide.
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
The primary focus will be to:
- Develop and maintain Takeda’s Global Digital Data & Technology (GDDT) Launch Playbook aligned with U.S. and ROW Launch Frameworks to ensure readiness and standardization.
- Serve as the primary GDD&T Launch liaison to BUs, ensuring alignment and integration of launch strategies within GDD&T teams and leaders accountable for launch activity delivery.
- Establish a holistic and product-agnostic set of key deliverables for GDD&T teams to enable seamless product launches.
- Drive proactive coordination of digital program milestones across the GDD&T organization, ensuring timely alignment with launch plans.
- Elevate broader internal and external awareness of GDD&T capabilities and how they are enabling digital transformation across Takeda and for Takeda’s customers (patients, HCPs, donors)
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Global Digital Launch Playbook:
- Design, update, and maintain the GDD&T Launch Capability Playbook as an adaptable guide for global and local Digital teams.
- Anchor Playbook guidance in Takeda’s global and U.S. Launch Framework principles to enable rapid alignment for speed and reusability
Launch Deliverable Management:
- Define and systematize a comprehensive set of product-agnostic key deliverables and activities for Global DD&T teams, enabling consistent high quality on time launch readiness
- Ensure deliverable alignment with overarching business objectives, frameworks, and timelines.
Milestone and Program Coordination:
- Oversee and align critical digital program milestones with global launch plans, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for launch strategies within the GDD&T team, ensuring seamless business alignment
- Foster collaboration with BUs and GDD&T colleagues to address specific market needs for digital readiness.
- Liaise closely with GDD&T and CEE product/platform owners/manager for alignment as required
Metrics and Readiness Tracking:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital readiness and launch impact.
- Communicate insights within Takeda to drive improvement and decision-making.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Advanced degree in majors related to marketing, engineering, digital technology, business administration or other related areas.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry; rooted in commercial and leveraging digital/technologies in this space. Deep understanding of new drug launches, commercialization, and global healthcare systems (3+ years preferred)
- Proven track record of leading innovative digital transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of scalable digital capabilities within a healthcare or commercial setting.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills that translate technical concepts into compelling business narratives for diverse audiences
- Strong experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments, managing complex stakeholder relationships

This role requires onsite/hybrid presence and cannot be performed as remote only role.

Cambridge, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
