POSITION: Senior Data Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with the following duties: Design and maintain robust technical solutions for efficient ingestion, transformation, and loading of diverse data sources and large-scale, complex datasets with a focus on clinical and operational data; Develop and embed data profiling and data quality methodologies into data transformation processes across systems; Manage and influence data pipelines and analytical approaches, employing various technologies, big data preparation techniques, and programming to discover data patterns through exploratory analysis; Provide technical leadership on clinical data flow, assisting with the definition, build, and validation of APIs, data streams, and data staging for extraction and integration into various systems; Translate data science requirements from extensive records (billions) and unstructured datasets into mathematical algorithms using a range of tools, including programming languages and advanced technologies (AI and machine learning), to identify data patterns and optimize models; Possess strong expertise in ETL/ELT design and implementation within large, disparate, and complex datasets; Demonstrate experience with big data processing systems and distributed computing technologies such as Databricks, Spark, Sage Maker, and Kafka; Develop scalable and efficient solutions on cloud computing platforms and infrastructure within the data and analytics domain; up to 100% remote work allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Analyze requirements to establish a centralized virtualization layer using Denodo for data integration and optimization; Develop a solution to integrate TIDAL with Denodo virtualization tool for publishing reports as web services; Automate a solution to load huge data chunks using with Teradata Utilities such as multi-load, fast-load etc.; Participate in designing and implementing the transition from legacy systems to future systems using Informatica and Mainframe jobs.
Full time. $175,500.00 - $215,500.00 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
