Job Description

About the role:

The Regional Business Manager (RBM) is an individual contributor role and implements the strategic initiatives developed by the leadership team. The RBM will develop working relationships with all physicians and accounts within their geographic responsibility who treat patients appropriate for the Takeda Rare Disease portfolio of LSD products. The RBM’s primary goal is to identify providers managing patients and educate those providers regarding the benefits of using our therapies with appropriate patients. Further, once an appropriate patient is identified by the provider, assist the clinical staff with the steps necessary to get the patient on therapy. This may include areas such as reimbursement, proper testing, and site of care determination.  You will report to the Regional Business Director - LSD.

The territory covers: WA, OR, ID, MT, and AK

How you will contribute:

  • You will be responsible for all business-related activities within their geographic responsibility, including achievement of sales goals, business planning, and expense control. The RBMs call points will primarily focus around Health Care Organizations, Targeted HCPs and Sites of care serving patients.   

  • Apply selling skills, business acumen, disease state awareness and clinical knowledge to enhance the LSD business and build support for the portfolio of products.

  • RBM will be responsible for multiple Health Care Organizations (including teaching institutions) utilizing a vertical account management approach.

  • RBM will be responsible to educating community Geneticists and Hematologist/Oncologist on both Hunters and Gaucher disease through an account-based approach.

  • RBM will identify and develop Sites of Care where patients will be able to receive infusion therapy. 

  • RBM works daily with internal stake holders to help facilitate therapy for future and current patients.

  • Collaborate with the LSD RBM team and business partners to coordinate efforts, maximize impact and enhance business outcomes. 

  • Analyze and apply market data to assess business opportunities and priorities, including relevant impact of regional health care market and patient dynamics.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or science related field is required. 

  • Minimum of 8 or more years selling specialty biologics or equivalent experience required

  • You must demonstrate a consistent track record of success (Top 20% performance).

  • President’s Club or other top tier awards preferred. 

  • Thrive in an account-based selling model.

  • Demonstrate strategic territory management successes 

  • Work within a complex sales model

  • Biotech, biologics, and specialty pharmacy experience helpful

  • Account management within large academic centers and/or Hospital experience a plus

  • Candidate must live in territory - reside in the State of WA

  • Must work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Extensive travel required and varies by territory

  • You should have a powerful sense of urgency, a strong desire for results and a strong work ethic.

  • Patient-centric mindset and passion for serving others

  • Job requires 60% travel

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record

  • Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental

Base Salary Range: $133,600.00 to $167,000.00, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off. The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
