JOB TITLE: Head Pisa Site Engineering

LOCATION: Pisa

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Lead and manage engineering operations for manufacturing operations in Pisa plant.

  • Provide holistic engineering and maintenance support to the site to sustainably achieve capacity plans and fulfillment targets.

  • Maintain equipment and facilities, performing facilities management including operations of utilities and critical systems, providing engineering technical support and capital planning and execution

  • Responsible for performance management and professional development of direct reports.

  • Accountable for performance management and professional development of engineering personnel. Allocates resources, assigns priority to tasks and acts as an advisor to Site senior management in the delivery of value-added services for Pisa Site.

  • Manages budgets and contract resources.

  • Provides management oversight to ensure that Facilities, Utilities and Equipment are properly maintained, fit for intended use, operated in a safe and efficient manner, and are compliant with all regulatory requirements.

  • Provides management oversight of delivery of coordinated major maintenance activities including scheduled plant shutdowns. Ensure organizational agility in order for timely response and resolution to operational issues.

  • Accountable for development of technical subject matter expertise and provision of adequate engineering resources (internally and externally) to ensure system reliability, robustness and maximum availability.

  • Ensures delivery of compliant and robust engineered solutions to improve reliability and efficiency of systems and equipment based upon best practices and operational periodic reviews.

  • Supports the planning and execution of site capital investment projects to ensure that projects are on time and on budget.

  • Supports and control the site CAPEX and equipment lifecycle

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Demonstrated experience in bioprocess engineering and expert knowledge of systems, equipment, facilities, automation is required.

  • Preferred experience in sterile filling operations and sterile filling lines under isolator.

  • Ten years of experience in an engineering and/or facilities function within a biotech/pharmaceutical operations/manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate strategic enterprise thinking, finding innovative ways to serve patients, and build trust, reputation and business.

  • Create an environment that inspires and enables people to move organization forward

  • Capable to focus priorities and delivers superior results

  • Elevate capabilities of the organization towards future

  • Budget management and finance related knowledge for both CAPEX and OPEX mgmt.

  • Internal/External functions/resources

  • Innovation and risk taking

  • Dealing with Internal/External key stakeholders

  • Strategic project planning and execution within challenging timelines and environment

WHAT YOU BRING TO TAKEDA:

  • Degree in Engineering (preferred in industrial topics: Chemistry, Electric etc...)

  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and coaching skills

  • Must be a team player prepared to lead, work in, embrace a team based culture

  • Project management skills

  • People management skills

  • Excellent IT skills

  • Fluency in English (both written and oral)
