The summer intern will be working collaboratively with different groups in Analytical Development. You will be supporting in addressing the difficult analytical challenge of measurement of very low protein concentration in in-use studies. Experience with analytical instrumentation is preferred. Understanding of chemistry / chromatography/protein binding assay (i.e. ELISA) is a plus.
This internship position will be on-site at Lexington, MA.

Execute experiments in the development of an assay for clinical development of future biopharmaceuticals.
Work closely with the team in planning and executing your own experiments, troubleshooting problems, and producing creative ideas to explain and overcome the unknowns under the supervision of an experienced scientist.
Maintains excellent documentation of all work in the form of laboratory notebooks, technical reports, and presentations to a wider audience.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Currently authorized to work in the US (United States) without sponsorship. Takeda does not provide sponsorship for internship positions.
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), within the core business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, for 12 weeks during the summer months.
Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, MD student with completion of a minimum of one year of university studies.
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with Takeda.
Interest in wet bench-work and instrumentation, and some contact with analytical instrumentation is preferred.
Understandingofchemistry / chromatography/ protein binding assay(i.e. ELISA) is helpful. Suitable for students of Biology, chemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and so on.
Able to work in a lab environment and be compliant with lab safety requirements.

The hourly pay rate range is $20.00 per hour - $46.00 per hour. The final pay rate offered for this internship may consider several factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
