Job Description

About the role:

  • Lead the standard costing process

    • Take lead on the standard costing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Design and implement digital solutions to automate and optimize standard costing activities.

    • Ensure that costing methods are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices.

  • Support development and implementation of digital solutions:

    • Develop and implement digital tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting, planning, and forecasting processes.

    • Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas where technology can streamline workflows and improve data management.

    • Train finance team members and wider organization on new digital tools and processes to ensure smooth adoption and utilization.

  • Ensure correct and compliant accounting treatment of the financials

    • Monitor financial transactions to ensure they are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

    • Work closely with the accounting team to review and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

How you will contribute:

Standard Costing

  • Responsible for the costing process, ensures all costing deliverables are met.

  • Become SME on costing for the site and network.

Process Improvement

  • Conduct regular reviews of the standard costing process and recommend improvements.

  • Implement changes in a timely manner and measure their impact on efficiency and accuracy.

Digital Solution Implementation

  • Successfully design, test, and deploy digital tools that meet the specific needs of the finance team.

  • Maintain and update these tools regularly to ensure they remain effective and relevant.

Training and Support

  • Support comprehensive training sessions for finance team members on new digital tools.

  • Offer ongoing support to ensure tools are used correctly and efficiently

Compliance and Accuracy

  • Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Address any discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback for digital solutions.

  • Ensure alignment of digital tools with overall business goals and strategies

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Up to 7-10 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, costing or digital solution implementation.

  • Understanding of accounting principles and standard costing methods.

  • Experience at a Big4 firm preferrable.

  • Familiarity with financial software and digital tools (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

  • Interest in advanced digital solutions (GenAI, etc).

  • Self-starter: able to execute well to completion with minimal direction.

  • Fluent in French, English. Dutch is welcome.
