Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To perform packaging and inspection operations in the Secondary Packaging area in full compliance with cGMP standards.

How You Will Contribute:

Quality / Safety / 5S:

  • Ensure compliance with TILGC quality standards and cGMP requirements for production.
  • Manufacture products strictly according to procedures and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), incorporating cGMP and safety procedures.
  • Complete all relevant checks accurately and on time as per BMRs and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of cGMP focus areas to ensure correct attitudes and behaviours within the work centre.
  • Prepare relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and BMRs as required.
  • Keep the workplace in compliance with cGMP and company 5S standards.
  • Ensure all relevant equipment and in-process test instruments are calibrated.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and promptly report accidents or near misses.
  • Proactively carry out all Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibilities according to EHS regulations and plans.
  • Fully cooperate with all on-site safety initiatives.

Performance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain flexibility in daily tasks within the work centre.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and apply new tools and techniques.
  • Apply Lean Tools, including SMED, RCA, Kaizen, FMEA, and 5S.
  • Actively participate in achieving relevant KPIs as outlined in the Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Engage in cross-functional training initiatives.
  • Participate in performance dialogues.

Process:

  • Assemble and package products according to the production schedule and GMP standards.
  • Ensure sufficient stock of production consumables is maintained at all times.
  • Work closely with Engineering to resolve downtime issues and maximize productivity.
  • Participate actively in addressing processing/packaging issues with other departments as required.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products (VI/IPC/AQL) as needed.
  • Conduct area clearance and clearance verification before and after batches.
  • Undertake further training and transfer to other P2 operations areas as required.

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, particularly Leave, Employment, and Employee Benefits policies.
  • Fully participate in cross-functional training initiatives.
  • Promote Takeda-ism and corporate values within the workplace.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and integrate safety into all aspects of work.
  • Ensure timely completion of Accident Reports / Near Miss Forms.
  • Complete all required SOPs, readings, training, and assessments on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the relevant Manager or Board-appointed Officer.

What You Bring to Takeda:

  • Leaving Certificate qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical environment, preferably in a cGMP-compliant setting.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Basic PC literacy essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new tools and techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong team player; able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working on own initiative.
  • Good documentation practice with attention to detail.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
