This is the vision behind our Innovation Capability Centers (ICCs). The team in Mexico City will enable Takeda to meet the needs of patients by seeking and incorporating novel digital capabilities, data, and agile methodologies.

Our Innovation Capability Centers (ICCs) are key on the path to becoming a leading digital biopharmaceutical company.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Work with application owners and support teams to enable monitoring of technologies from the network layer up to the web application interface using Cisco’s ThousandEyes. Most importantly, the Synthetic monitoring of the application’s key functions allows for early warning of performance problems or full outages.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Works in concert with other Observability resources to identify ThousandEyes use cases for monitoring and measuring web-based performance of an application.

  • Also works to provide performance insight into key communication aspects such as network routing, DNS resolution, packet latency, jitter, etc.

  • Develops and maintains Transaction Scripts which simulates user interaction – testing key features.

  • Designs measurement approach by combining internally and externally (Internet) based agents and managing to a budget of test-unit costs per month.

  • Develops and maintains Alert Rule logic for optimizing alert effectiveness.

  • Integrates ThousandEyes metrics with Cisco AppDynamics for single pane of glass view of full stack.

COMPETENCES, EDUCATIONAL AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Bachelors’ Degree, from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in the space of system and application monitoring.

  • Solid experience with Cisco ThousandEyes

  • Experience designing, building, maintaining of ThousandEyes dashboards.

  • Critical thinking: able to look for creative ways of simulating user activity.

  • Strong Transaction Scripting ability for simulating user activity which exercises key app functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with multifunctional team.

  • Networking - Routing and switching experience - preferred Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifiedExperience with AWS Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, DC environmentNetwork/application protocols and data security best practice knowledgeAutomation experience using Cisco DNA-C platformPython or Json programing including REST APIs experienceAnalytics dashboarding PowerBI/Tableau exposerFamiliarity with web technologies
