This is the vision behind our Innovation Capability Centers (ICCs). The team in Mexico City will enable Takeda to meet the needs of patients by seeking and incorporating novel digital capabilities, data, and agile methodologies.

Our Innovation Capability Centers (ICCs) are key on the path to becoming a leading digital biopharmaceutical company.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Work with application owners and support teams to enable application performance monitoring (APM) insight which will increase supportability, performance and minimize downtime.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leads the application onboarding for full stack Observability using a combination of solutions – mainly Cisco AppDynamics, with understanding of ThousandEyes and Splunk.

  • Manages technical workshops working with applications owners and their support team to:

  • Detail out and capture use-cases

  • Agile Plan the work required and schedule

  • Schedules and executes the deployment and configuration of the appropriate agents for maximizing the level of instrumentation.

  • Onboards the associated database(s) and related endpoints.

  • Deploys the appropriate Browser Real User Monitoring for front to back application visibility.

  • Configures the AppDynamics controller using standard processes for topics such as license quotas and tracking, appropriate naming standards, etc.

  • Builds AppDynamics native dashboards based on the involved personas and the technologies used.

  • Identifies key Business Transactions and develops dashboards for measuring business related aspects.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains Health Rules and Policies for alerting on what is important to the application team.

  • Establishes Business Journeys by understanding the important process flows and incorporate them into the applicable dashboard-persona.

COMPETENCES, EDUCATIONAL AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Bachelors’ Degree, from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in software, data, application monitoring.

  • Solid experience with Cisco AppDynamics, including a strong understanding of instrumenting AWS cloud technologies such as CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.

  • Knowledge and experience of 2+ years in at least two of the following technical domains: SDLC practices including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD strategies, IT Operations (NOC or similar), virtualization and containerization, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc), OpenTelemetry, Application Development, operating systems, databases, servers and networks • Experience with JavaScript , Java (J2EE), .Net

  • Experience designing, building, maintaining of AppDynamics dashboards.

  • Critical thinking: able to look for creative ways of instrumenting and gathering metrics, events, logs, and traces.

  • Base PowerShell scripting ability for capitalizing on automation opportunities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with multifunctional team.
