Project Title and Outline:

Quantitative Characterization of the Biodistribution of allogeneic T-cell Therapies using Physiologically Based Cellular Kinetic (PBCK) Modeling

Due to limited clinical experience and poor understanding of clinical dose-exposure-response relationship, there is strong interest in understanding factors impacting cellular kinetics and tissue distribution of different subsets of T-cells.

The incumbent summer intern will work within cell therapy clinical pharmacology group and will also work with colleagues in Cell Therapy Innovation organization.  The platform biodistribution studies for allogeneic T-cells across different in-house assets will be utilized and integrated within a PBCK framework. The summer intern will be responsible for developing state of the art PBPK models using mathematical modeling softwares. Differential biodistribution patterns of allogeneic T-cell subsets will be explored using sensitivity analysis. Preclinical to clinical translation of the PBCK model will be explored to potentially inform clinical dosing.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Currently authorized to work in the US (United States) without sponsorship. Takeda does not provide sponsorship for internship positions.

•  Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), within the core business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, for 12 weeks during the summer months.

• Graduate, PhD, MD student with completion of a minimum of one year of university studies.

• Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with Takeda.

The hourly pay rate range is $20.00 per hour - $46.00 per hour. The final pay rate offered for this internship may consider several factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
