Job Description
About the role:
Plasma-derived therapies are critical, life-saving medicines, which patients with rare and complex diseases around the world rely on every day. Global demand for these therapies, particularly immunoglobulins, has increased dramatically over the last 15 years, and continues to grow. Takeda is established as second largest provider of plasma-derived therapies (PDT) globally. Leveraging on 75+ year pioneering legacy, Takeda believes there is tremendous potential to do more to meet expectations of patients and health care providers with plasma-derived therapies for patients with immunologic, hematologic, autoimmune and other complex diseases.
PDT’s mission is to transform the lives of patients through innovation and sustainability from plasma donation to delivery of holistic plasma-derived therapeutic solutions. Data Digital & Technology (DDT) is a trusted PDT partner, transforming donor experience and patient lives through innovation and excellence. You will will deliver technology capabilities for the Supply Chain suite of applications. Based in our Bannockburn, IL office, you will report to the Delivery Lead.
How you will contribute:
Partner with Takeda Supply Chain Management, Global Manufacturing, and PDT Supply Chain teams to scope new technology needs, additional features to current products, and identify integration opportunities to bring value to supply chain operations
Lead workshops with business stakeholders to align on short-term, mid-term, and long-term vision for supply chain operations
Facilitate meetings around complex topics regarding supply chain tasks and activities
Connect desired product outcomes with key performance metrics
Create data-driven narratives that focus the team
Create a business case for product optimization or creation of a product or feature using data, customer feedback, and business signals
Understand the system(s) and technology around their products and features and what impacts and outcomes this work will have on the company, technology, and design
Present a holistic product vision for a new or complex product
Prioritize decisions across a product area by understanding how decisions affect the business and overall portfolio of products including budget and labor impacts
Use cross-reference data from other functions and products to gain insight on next steps and prioritization.
Assess and communicate problems, so that escalation mechanisms can determine impacts and connection to ultimate needs.
Support the team in complex, sometimes lengthy experimentation to create and validate completely new products or features that are a major change to a product
Understanding of usability and product design and work with designers to iterate through designs to reach goals
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree science or business-related field
7+ years of experience in relevant field
Direct experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering
Expertise in process optimization and efficiency within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
Experience with production processes and supply chain management
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and supply chain professionals
Experience with technology and systems relevant to manufacturing and supply chain
Familiarity with industry-specific metrics
